Colour



The colour combination from primary, secondary and tertiary colour.

Colour is divided into three categories: Primary colours, secondary colours, and tertiary colours. In these three categories, colour divided into another three colour temperatures- warm, cool, and neutral.

There have three colours in the primary sector which are red, yellow and blue.

The secondary colours are combine from primary colours. Which means red + yellow (orange), red + blue (violet), and yellow + blue (green).

And the tertiary colours are combine from primary colours and the secondary colours: red + orange (red-orange), red + violet (red-violet), yellow + orange (yellow-orange), yellow + green (yellow-green), blue + violet (blue violet), and blue + green (blue-green).

We categorized these 12 colours into three colour temperatures: warm, cool and neutral.

The warm colours are red, red-orange, red-violet, yellow, yellow-orange, yellow-green, and orange.

 Warm colours often represented stronger emotions, feelings and thoughts such as anger, happiness, joyful, and so on. In addition, warm colours also bring positive power, energizing and passionate toward people. And it is easy to gain others' attention. For instances, red represented anger but it is represented passion as well.
Parents can paint the study room's wall with yellow colour because yellow can gain the children attention when they are study in the room.

Blue, green, blue-green, blue-violet, and violet are cool colours. Cool colours are tend to be relax, calming, and refreshing because they are nearest to environment. For example, green represented health and environment. When we are tired, we can look at something is green such as plants, then we will feel relax and refresh after watching them. We can place a green or blue colour things on the table or paint the wall.

Neutral colours are black, white, grey, and brown. People will choose black and grey to represented their feeling- sad, or disappointed. Sometimes, black colour can make people crazy due to the stress of the colour. Even thought it is can represented to conservative or fashion but it is also bring the stress to some people who cannot deal with the colour.

There have many colours in our life but it is difficult to choose a proper colour in our surrounding such as college, office, and home. A correct colour can make people feel happy and energy in their work, study or life. Please be careful on choosing a colour.
