Dealing with a customer

Transsexualism, is a condition in which a person assumes the identity and permanently acts the part of the gender opposite to his or her biological sex. Transsexuals have historically often been subjected to considerable discrimination. Transsexualism is distinct from transvestism (cross-dressing) and does not always indicate a change in the individual's sexual preference. Generally, there are two types of transsexualism, from a male to female, and vice versa. A male who ‘transform’ himself into “herself” is also known as Ah Gua’s. Ah Gua' meaning a man acting like a woman. To certain extend, it could mean transvestite.

Society has been discriminating against these people ever since from the olden days. The society stereotyped them as the people who have no dignity in life and call them all kinds of funny names just to tease them. They are discriminated and heavily criticized by religious groups. Their life is often isolated from the others though they have their very own community of the same kind. Life is utterly hard and pitiful as they have to go through so much of discrimination and criticism. Most of them did not want to choose this errant path, but because of the environment and economic factor, they had to because of such adversities. Earning a living is what they have in mind, rather than earning for a good living akin to those higher end prostitutes.



This is not some kind of movie, this is real among us. You ignore them but they are exist. Life is tough for certain people. These Ah Guas are forced to become lower class prostitute due to the economic pressure. They travelled so far from Indonesia yet job opportunities are not awaiting them.

No doubt they are disgusting for us, stereotyping and judges are being done but did you ever think about how pity they are? They are human, just like us. They need to live, to eat and to survive.

still live like a normal person.

They were beaten, harassed, and physically abuse by their customers yet they can’t complain to anyone because what they are doing is illegal. I have seen worse things and this is one of them. Please appreciate your life, do not complain because you have a very good living quality compare with them.
